The MK Playday Team have decided that to keep everyone safe MK Playday will not be returning to Campbell Park this summer instead the team are encouraging everyone to play at home or in their local park on 4 August 2021.

We had a fantastic meeting of the organising committee today (Tuesday 3 December 2019) with partners from MK Play Association, MK Council, The Parks Trust, Early Years Alliance and our production team. Playday is pleased to announce that Milton Keynes College will be sponsoring the
event which takes over Campbell Park on Wednesday 7th August 2019.
MK Playday provides fun, free accessible activities for all children, young people and their families as part of the nationally recognised Playday. The event which has previously seen up 9000 visitors, celebrates children’s right to play and highlights the importance of play in children’s lives. There will be a wide variety of activities to choose from, from water slides to bug hunting and a very special tournament with local mascots.
Julie Dawes, the Interim Chair of MK Playday Partnership said, “We are very pleased to be working with such a valued partner, sponsorship from MK College helps us to keep providing an enjoyable day full of free activities for families in Milton Keynes.”

painters, dress up and selfie booths.

MK Playday is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the MK Community Foundation. These funds will support the event held in Campbell Park this year on Wednesday 7th August.
The MK Community Foundation is the leading grant-making charity in Milton Keynes, connecting people and resources to projects and ideas. Since the foundation began in 1986, it has awarded £23m worth of support through grants and rent subsidy to the local voluntary sector.
We are very pleased to have secured support from MK Community Foundation, these funds help ensure the partnership can provide an enjoyable free day for families and communities of Milton Keynes. We value the support MK Community Foundation has given us and we look forward to the biggest day of play in Campbell Park.

These funds will be used to ensure that MK Playday 2019 is a huge success, celebrating children’s right to play and highlighting the importance of play in children’s lives.
We’re in the customer vote for a Bags of Help grant from Tesco. It’s a scheme which gives community projects like us grants of up to £4,000 – all raised from the sale of carrier bags in Tesco stores. The public will now vote in store from now until 30th June 2019 on who should receive the awards.

MK Playday is excited to announce that the Opener for this year’s event has been confirmed; Paddington™!
Join us and Paddington on Wednesday 7 August 2019 between 11am and 4pm at Campbell Park. Paddington will open the event from the main stage in the morning and then will be making personal appearances in the park at intervals throughout the day. Don’t forget to bring your camera as there will be plenty of opportunities to take photos!
Emma Stace, Chair of the organising committee, commented: “We are so pleased Paddington will join us for the incredibly popular event this year. Paddington will meet with children of all ages, making it a highlight for MK Playday 2019”.

After having a year off, the MK Playday Organising Committee with representatives from MK Pre-School Learning Alliance, MK Play Association, Woughton Community Council, The Parks Trust, MK Children’s Centres and Milton Keynes Council, came together today (Tuesday 25 September 2018) to start planning for MK Playday 2019!
MK Playday 2019 will take place on Wednesday 7 August 2019 11am-4pm in Campbell Park and early signs are that it will be the best ever free play event Milton Keynes has ever seen!
The organising committee are looking for local organisations to support the event and are also looking for a sponsor to help make this the play event the families of Milton Keynes deserve.
