MK Playday is returning to Campbell Park in 2016 thanks to the organising committee made up of representatives from The Parks Trust, Milton Keynes Play Association, Milton Keynes Council and MK Dons Sport & Education Trust. On Wednesday 3rd August 2016 11am – 4pm Campbell Park will once again be turned into the biggest play event in Milton Keynes.
Funding is often a challenge and as this event gets more popular the committee have decided to introduce some changes for this year’s event. There will be new zones and details on these exciting new additions will be available soon.
One feature that the committee can reveal now is the introduction of dividing the event site into 2. With the free all day activities like annual favourites such as the waterslides, stage entertainment, the sports zone, bug hunting, as well as the craft and woodland play areas which will be centred in Campbell Park Amphitheatre (stage and woodland areas). The other separate area which will be held on Campbell Park Event Plateau (flat area on top) will be where there will be things which may cost some money like food stalls, craft stalls and 50p fun fair rides. The committee hope by keeping all the things which cost some money separate from all the free activities will help families choose what they want to do on the day and at the same time contribute some much needed funds towards putting on this brilliant free event for MK.
Anyone who would like to apply to have a craft or food stall should email their details to firstname.lastname@example.org for an application pack.
Good News Friday!
